The brilliant Endymion’ meddai’r Sunday Times. Ac mae’r Endymion yn ensemble sy’n cyflwyno perfformiadau siambr o safon rhyngwladol trwy’r DU. Mae’n hyrwyddo gwaith y cyfansoddwyr mwyaf bywiog a gwreiddiol, yn ysbrydoli cynulleidfaoedd ac yn pleidio achos ystod o gerddoriaeth siambr ym mhob dull trwy eu perfformiadau, eu comisiynau a’u recordiadau. Nid yw heno’n eithriad i reol yr Endymion! Ceir gweithiau cyfoes ochr yn ochr â pherfformiad o Bumawd Clarinet enwog Mozart sydd wedi ei raglennu gyda K gan Philip Venables, darn a gyfansoddwyd fel preliwd i’r Mozart.

Festival of Contemporary Music for All - Welsh Voices 2017/18: Part II - Cardiff University Contemporary Music Group

Cardiff University School of Music, CoMA’s main partner in Wales, explores vocal music on Friday 2 March, including workshops, open rehearsals and informal performances of a selection of CoMA’s part-songs and other repertoire for amateur musicians during the day. In the evening Cardiff University’s Contemporary Music Group, focusing on contemporary Welsh vocal repertoire, in the evening.

Bydd y rhaglenni’n adlewyrchu ehangder y gweithgarwch artistig yng Nghymru heddiw a bydd y cryno ddisg yn ychwanegiad pwysig i gatalog recordiau o gerddoriaeth newydd o Gymru.

Festival of Contemporary Music for All: Fidelio Trio

On Saturday 3 March, we welcome renowned chamber group the Fidelio Trio (Darragh Morgan, Adi Tal and Mary Dullea), who have a long-standing relationship with CoMA, to lead a day of instrumental workshops for all comers on music from CoMA’s open score collection. They will also present a concert of contemporary chamber music.

Celebrating Debussy: Trio Anima

The festival continues in March 2018, the centenary month itself. Trio Anima presents a beguiling programme of French chamber music, juxtaposing Debussy’s war-time Sonata for flute, viola and harp with works by Dubois, Jolivet, Fauré and Ravel.

Ffurfiwyd Tri Anima yn 2006 yng Ngholeg Cerdd a Dama Guildhall. Yn 2007 enillodd y triawd wobr Elias Fawcett i Ensemble Siambr Nodedig. Buont yn artistiaid Live Music Now a dyfarnwyd iddynt Gymrodoriaeth Cerddoriaeth Siambr yny Coleg Cerdd a Drama Guildhall yn 2011.

Jazz at the University: Pigfoot

Pigfoot specialise in passing classic pop through their multi-idiomatic mangle while still sounding like affectionate fans of the originals. As sought-after soloists with separate lives, they only rarely convene as Pigfoot. The School of Music is delighted that they are giving one of their rare live appearances here in Cardiff.

Mae Pigfoot yn arbenigo mewn tywys pop clasurol trwy eu mangl aml –idiom ei hun tra’n cydnabod hoffter y cerddorion at y modelau yn eu ffurf gwreiddiol. Mae’r cerddorion yn gweithio fel perfformwyr unigol poblogaidd ac anaml y deuant at ei gilydd dan faner Pigfoot. Mae’r Ysgol Cerddoriaeth felly yn hapus bod un o’u perfformiadau prin fel grŵp yn digwydd yma yng Nghaerdydd.
